The Sandringham Kids Heritage Project is a chance for Sandringham children and families to explore local history in their own neighbourhood! Our heritage is our inheritance - what the past has conceded to us, what we value in the present and what we choose to preserve for future generations. The Sandringham Kids Heritage Project will introduce you to our cultural heritage, built heritage and natural heritage. Learn about the heritage that surrounds us in our houses, the environment and the ways we live and interact with others!
Play parlour games like the olden days, create your own pepeha, learn how to become a heritage house detective and explore Sandringham's very own ancient lava rock forest.
The activities in the Sandringham Kids Heritage Project are aimed at children 8-12 years and their families and all are welcome to enjoy these free activities! If you think we have missed anything out, please let us know. And please share your discoveries and the fun you have with these activities on our Facebook and Instagram Page - #sandringhamkidsheritageproject #skhp
