DESCRIPTION:
Sandringham Reserve proves that good things come in small packages! A lovely small park at the gateway to Sandringham Village, Sandringham Reserve and its playground had a complete community-led re-design and rebuild in 2016. The result? A great playground for pre-schoolers and primary school aged children, large wheelchair friendly picnic tables with tablecloths perfect for enjoying takeaway from the nearby Indian restaurants, flat grassy areas shaded by mature gingko trees, a stage (with power!) and even a heritage building. It also features some lovely mosaic tiles created by Edendale School Students in conjunction with Gisborne artist Katy Wallace, whose design was selected by the Sandringham Community for the park re-design.
